Finding a truly pet-friendly hotel when you have three dogs (two large dogs) is one of the biggest logistical hurdles of long-distance travel. Policies are often vague, confusing, or simply limit you to one small pet.
This page is the essential resource we wished we had. Every hotel listed here is a property we have personally stayed at—or one where we received explicit, written confirmation allowing our three dogs (a multi-dog family!). We have broken the list down by the type of travel, from US cross-country road trips to critical international departure stops and European vacations.
Use this guide to save dozens of hours of research. But remember: policies change! Always call the hotel directly to confirm your party size before booking. Many hotels will waive the size and number limit with an additional security fee.
USA: Cross-Country Travel Stops
These hotels were verified during our moves across the continental US. They were all accommodating of our dogs when we contacted them for pre-approval. (Note: Policies change—always call ahead!)
